Proceeds from the 12th Annual Desert Diamond Golf Classic benefit the Tohono O’ohdam Nation Charitable Organizations!

Final plans are being made for the 12th Annual Desert Diamond Classic Charity Golf Tournament and Kick-Off Party. All that’s missing is you.

For twelve years Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment has hosted the charity golf tournament to raise money for Tohono O’odham Nation’s organizations to benefit 3 specific areas of education, cultural and youth. It’s a unique event; giving golfers a chance have fun, become more educated and giveback. Festivities begin Thursday (3/19/15) evening at the beautiful Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment at Tucson hotel property and a full day of golf and fun on Friday (3/20/15) at the wonderful Randolph Golf Complex. This year’s beneficiaries will be donated to the following areas: Domestic Violence prevention, Veteran’s programs, and Elder’s Garden.

Cost for a four-man team is $2,500, and $500 for a tee sign. The tournament is at the Randolph Golf Complex. Register early because the tournament has sold out every year. Check-in and breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. More sponsorships are available.

If mixing and mingling is more your speed, the stimulating Kick-Off Party is Thursday, March 19th at the Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment at Tucson.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person, $75 a couple. Tournament golfers can attend the Pairings Party as a part of their registration

Guests get to mingle, enjoy Hors d’oeuvres and shop in the enticing concept shop.  This year’s offerings include a TVs, gift certificates, artwork, sports memorabilia, and jewelry.

Please note: some changes have recently been made to our charitable giving process.

Please review the following information thoroughly prior to submitting an application to ensure all guidelines are met. It is the requestor’s responsibility to submit the application and correctly follow the process detailed below. There is no guarantee of approval. Requests are reviewed on a case by case basis and all decisions are final.

Guidelines and Eligibility

Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment considers requests for community outreach donations from only two types of organizations:

  1. Non-profit charitable organizations classified as 501-C
  2. Tohono O’odham Nation organizations.

Additional guidelines include:

  • Individuals, for-profit organizations or 3rd party organizations will not be considered by Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment.
  • Organizations may only submit one request in a 12 month period (October – September)
  • Deadlines for submissions are the 10th of each month. If a request is received after the 10th it will be reviewed the following month.
  • Requests must be received at least 3 months prior to the event. If there are printing needs, the request must be received at least 5 months prior to the event.
  • Areas of focus that Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment will consider include: health care, education, arts & culture, community, seniors and youth.

Submitting Requests

Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment will only consider requests that are either mailed or emailed. Faxed applications will not be considered.

You will receive a letter of confirmation when Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment receives your request. If you do not get a letter within a week of submission, please contact us immediately.

Non-Profit Organizations

Tribal Organizations

Please submit the following completed and signed.

  • Tribal Support Form (click here to download a copy)
  • Copy of Proof of non-profit status, such as a 501-C designation letter from the IRS, Tribal Council Resolution or other document of status as a non-profit charitable organization.
    • If unable to provide proof of non-profit status, please complete and submit the Application for a Tohono O’odham Charitable Organization form (click here to download a copy)
